I have been so busy with school, clubs, and recruitment! I just had to tell you all about it.
Recruitment started on a Sunday with Round Robin. However, I do not have any pictures from that day. I go to a smaller school up north and there's only four sororities, so it definitely does not compare to the south, where Greek Life dominates, but I still had fun.
For Round Robin, we went around in our groups, mingled with each sorority for 35 minutes and watched a short video at each one.
Shirt - Tommy Hilfigure / Pants - J Crew / Shoes (Similar) - Steve Madden / Necklace - Etsy / Earrings - Kendra Scott / Bracelets - Alex and Ani
The second night we went to two of the four sororities. It was informal rush, so it was pretty casual and just mingling.
Tip: Sororities love Alex and Anis. I was sure to wear mine almost every day of recruitment because it was a great conversation starter.
The third day was the same as the day before; we just mingled with the other two sororities.
Dress - Lilly Pulitzer / Shoes - J Crew Factory / Necklace - J Crew Factory
On the fourth day, our Rho Gammas texted us around 4pm to let us know which sororities invited us back for preference later that night! I got invited back to three of the four.
Preference was two nights and each night two of the sororities held their event. The first night I went to one preference. This picture is me and my roommate at our first preference night.
Tip: I wore flamingos because I figured it would help me stand out. It definitely did! No one else was wearing flamingos and it helped them remember me!

I wore my favorite Lilly dress, which I thought was appropriate because it's a little less summery, to the final round of recruitment. On the second preference night, I went to two of the sororities, including my top pick.
Shirt - Vinyard Vines / Pants - J Crew / Purse - Fossil
Bid day was all sorts of emotions. Our Rho Gammas texted us at 4pm to let us know if we had a bid or not. I was a mess all day waiting for that text.
At 6pm, we met in a room with everyone who received a bid. Since it was informal rush you could receive more than one. There were seats set up for us in alphabetical order with our bids on our chairs. I received a bid from my top two sororities.
All of the Rho Gammas lined up and we guessed which sorority they were in.
Finally, we opened our bids and broke into groups by sorority.
We took this picture inside. Then, we ran outside one sorority at a time. When we got outside the girls greeted us with flowers, balloons, picture frames, chants, and hugs. It was so exciting to receive a bid from my top choice!
This is a picture of my pledge class! It was such an exciting experience and I am so happy to share it with all of you! Let the pledging process begin. . .
xoxo,
Sydne
